Meet Kyra
I’m Kyra, an Australian artist based in the Northern Rivers, where I’m constantly surrounded by nature. It’s a place that deeply shapes both my life and my work, and I find a lot of inspiration in the ocean, the beach and the quieter moments of everyday life.
Outside of creating, I’m usually spending time at the beach or by a river, living a slow and grounded lifestyle with my partner, our dog, and time with family and friends. I’m drawn to simple, meaningful things that help me feel connected and inspired, like yoga, cooking, reading and learning new things at my own pace.
I’ve always been creative, growing up with my mum who is an oil painter, so art was something I was naturally surrounded by. Over time, what started as something personal and expressive slowly evolved into Anibyky, where I now create textured, story-driven artworks that reflect the same sense of calm, intention and connection I value in my own life.
The Journey
Early Beginnings
Art has always been part of my life, growing up surrounded by creativity and watching my mum paint. It was something I was naturally drawn to, even before I fully understood it as a path.
Studying and Exploring
I studied Interior Design and worked across different jobs, but always felt pulled back to creating. A year travelling around Australia living out of a 4WD shifted how I saw the world, deepening my connection to nature, simplicity and slower living.
Anibyky Today
I began experimenting with textured artworks, which slowly evolved into layered, tile-like pieces. What started as exploration has grown into Anibyky, where I create intentional, story-driven works that are tactile, minimal and deeply personal.
